Data Analyst

data information intelligence offers healthcare-focused market and business intelligence and strategic advisory to support companies in the sector of laboratory diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceutical and biotechnology to understand their current and potential markets, and implement pragmatic and innovative strategies to ultimately tap into new growth opportunities. As of October 2018 we are part of The Economist Intelligence Group.

In order to further augment our dynamic team we seek a Data Analyst to expand our services in data analyses.

In the role you would be expected to:

  • Develop evaluation methods and complex analyses for business decisions (significance testing, data validation, data mining)
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on proprietary and non-proprietary market research projects
  • Data cleaning and processing
  • Collaborate with the consulting team to develop questionnaires, determine data interpretation concepts and strategic recommendations
  • Perform analyses on long-term projects with data collected from multiple years
  • Interpret data, analyze results and prepare recommendations based on results and complex economic contexts
  • Develop and improve evaluation and visualization tools used for customer presentations
  • Creation of meaningful graphics

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A background/experience in data analysis
  • An affinity to and joy in learning and applying new programming languages
  • Profound proficiency in mathematics
  • Competency in the Python and/or R programming language
  • Basic knowledge of common web languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript etc)
  • Very good command of English (German would be a plus)
  • Familiarity with healthcare, clinical diagnostics, life sciences is helpful but not required
  • A team player, with a flexible approach to tasks, who has strong problem solving skills
